Linda Marie Starkey, age 78, of Fredericktown, Missouri, moved on to her heavenly home on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Stockhoff Memorial Nursing Home in Fredericktown, Missouri.  Linda was born on May 26th, 1945, in Silver Mines, Missouri, to Harmon Howard Royer and Audrey Jewel (Means) Royer.  On July 29th, 1966, Linda married George Starkey.  To that marriage were born two sons:  Chadd (Kelly) Starkey and Jason (Kristen) Starkey, and 3 grandsons:  Jonathan, Matthew and Andrew Starkey, all of Fredericktown, Missouri.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George Starkey, her parents, brothers Charles, Paul Dean and Lee Gale Royer.  Her father-in-law Glen Starkey, mother-in-law Florene (Giggleman) Starkey and her brother-in-law Terry Starkey.

Those surviving include her sons and their families, brothers Howard (Norma) Royer, Roy (Joyce) Royer, Louis (Barbara) Royer and Shirley (Gracie) Royer, brother-in-law Donald (Janice) Starkey and Lewis (Patricia) Sikes, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Linda retired from Black River Electric Cooperative in Fredericktown after serving for 41 years.  She was one of the founding members of Calvary Church and served as the church treasurer for numerous years.  She enjoyed attending church, reading, watching sports, planting flowers, spending time with her friends and family.

Funeral visitation and services will be held at Calvary Church on Thursday, October 19th, 2023.  Visitation is from 9:00-12:00 and the service will follow.  Pastor Randy Sawyer officiating.  Interment will be at Walker Memorial Cemetery at the Church.
