Lindell E. Dowd was born July 9, 1931 at Fredericktown, the son of Forest & Lola (Shrum) Dowd, and passed away on July 31, 2013, at Jefferson Regional in Festus at the age of 82 years.
Lindell was preceded in death by by his parents, two (2) brothers Dallas Dowd, Lloyd Dowd, three (3) sisters Hazel Hoffman, Lois Dowd, Linda Crosby.
Lindell is survived by his wife Betty A. (Simmons) Dowd, whom he married Feb 2, 1952 at Fredericktown, two (2) daughters Karen (Richard) Schmaltz, Kim (Steve) Dominic, two (2) granddaughters Lindsey (David Angell) Robinson, of St. Louis, Eileen Dominic, One (1) grandson Aaron Dominic, Three (3) sisters Odessa Call, Laverne Thorsrud, Janet Dowd, two (2) brothers, Larry Dowd, Darrell Dowd, one (1) Sister in law Betty Dowd, and nieces and nephew Jim Stinnett, Judy Miller, Jackie Priest.
Lindell was of the Christian faith, and enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, and the St. Louis Cardinals.
