Lois M. Lanning, 85, Fredericktown, died January 12, 2013 at St. Clare Hospital in Fenton MO. She was born December 11, 1927 in Roselle MO to Tom & Evelyn (Oelsen) Conway. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, C.L., "Monty" Lanning whom she was united in marriage on June 13, 1948 in Fredericktown, a sister Wilma Homan, two (2) nieces Debbie (Homan) Myers, and Crystal (Homan) McCallister.
Lois is survived by her two children, Montez (Bill) Fortner, St. Louis, and Monty D. (Cathy) Lanning, Kansas. Four(4) grandchildren, Sandra Fortner (Kevin) Votaw, Festus, Paul Fortner, St. Louis, Meghann Lanning (Riley) Holzbauer, Texas, and Kyndel Lanning, Texas, as well as four (4) great-grandchildren Troy & Franki Votaw, and Rylann & Miles Holzbauer.
Lois was of the Lutheran faith, she was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends.
Visitation is at 10:30 A.M. followed by funeral service at 1:00 P.M. on January 17, at the Follis & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. W.D. Snyder officiating. Interment will be at Marcus Memorial Park.
