She was proud of graduating from Fredericktown High School in 1959 and taking second place as Miss Fredericktown the same year.
Bernie married Earl Leo Green in October of 1959. They relocated to Denver, Co where they had 3 children together, Michelle, Barbara, and Keith. While there she enjoyed the great outdoors camping, and deer and elk hunting. Bernie also worked as a telephone switchboard operator.
She and Leo later moved to Seattle, WA where they raised their family. While there she enjoyed salmon and halibut fishing, spending weekends on the coast walking the beaches. Throughout life she always enjoyed the outdoors.
She loved her grandchildren dearly.
Dani Lynn Olson and Byron Olson II spent much of their time camping and fishing with their grandma while she lived in the Seattle area.
