Marilyn Jane Smith was born on January 17, 1931 at Sigourney, Iowa the daughter of Blaine and Margaret (Utterback) Strong and passed away on August 2, 2014 at St. Louis at the age of 83 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald T. Smith whom she was united in marriage to on September 15, 1951 at St. Paul Minnesota, and one sister Ann Golden. Marilyn is survived by her children Jeffrey Colby, Steven M. Smith, Nikki D. Robinson, Jeffrey A. Smith, Charlotte E. Smith, Mark P. Smith, Jerry D. Smith, Kathleen M. Smith, and Michael L. Smith , and two brothers Dan Strong and Don Strong.

Graveside services will be held on August 10, 2014 at St. Michaels Cemetery in Fredericktown.
