Marla Rae (Yount) McDowell was born on December 26, 1942, the daughter of Dale and Mildred Yount, and passed away on October 18, 2022, at the age of 79 years.

Rae was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles "Bird Dog" McDowell, whom she married on April 20, 1963, at Fredericktown, and her daughter Raegail Motsinger.

Rae is survived by one (1) son Jeff (Rachel) McDowell, one (1) daughter Leslie (Gerry) Stephens, two (2) brothers Jim (Kay) Yount, Lynn (Linda) Yount, three (3) sisters, Rita (Mike) Rehkop, Debbie (Charles) Moore, Kela (Tim) Strickland, six (6) grandchildren, Olivia (Zack) Taylor, Charles Motsinger, Allison (Jacob) Clauser, Millie McDowell, Hunter Stephens, Carson Stephens, and eight (8) great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Taylor, Aubrey Taylor, Isaac Taylor, Oliver Taylor, Henry Taylor, Phillip Taylor, Halston Stephens, and Calvin Clauser.

Rae was a member of Calvary Church, and she loved being with family, taking pictures, sewing, reading, and being at the beach.
