Martha’s professional journey began in 1961 when she took a position as an office clerk at Madison Memorial Hospital at the time of its opening. With unwavering diligence and care, she later transitioned into the role of Medicare biller, a position she held until her retirement in the late 1990s. Martha and her beloved husband, Larry Delezene, reached this milestone together, retiring hand in hand after years of partnership.
Known for her gentle spirit and altruistic nature, Martha was always ready to help others without seeking recognition. Her kindness extended beyond her career as, following retirement, she became a familiar and comforting presence at Follis and Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown, Missouri. There, she warmed the hearts of many with her warm smile and welcoming demeanor. Eventually, she moved to Ohio to live with her daughter and son-in-law, where she enjoyed the closeness of family.
Martha’s life was enriched by her passions, which included reading, engaging in word puzzles, participating in Bible study, and cherishing moments spent with loved ones. She was a devoted member of the Christian Church in Fredericktown, Missouri, a community she held dear and considered one of her proudest accomplishments.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Dr. Diane Browers and son-in-law Robert Browers; sister Nina Tippen; grandchildren Dr. Lucas Delezene and his wife Dr. Amelia Delezene; Meghan Winick and her husband Seth Winick, step granddaughter Candice Browers; great-grandchildren Luna Delezene, Rio Delezene, Dalton Winick, and Riley Crawford, who is her step great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her father W.W. Snider, mother Anna Mae Snider, husband Larry Delezene, son Stephen Delezene, twin sister Mildred Mouser, as well as sisters Dorothy Snider, Ruble Lane, Helen Blunt, Opal Smith, Esther Gisi, and Naomi Coffey, and brother R.R. Snider.
A visitation to honor Martha’s life will be held on May 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Follis & Sons Chapel, located at 700 Plaza Dr., Fredericktown, Missouri. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place on the same day at 1:00 PM.
