Mary Catherine Lamkin was born November 16,1923 at Fredericktown the daughter of Oscar Morgan and Lucy (Keel) Sheppard and passed away on May 30, 2009 at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 14 days.
Mary was united in marriage to Wiliam Clarence Elders on June 2, 1940. fom this union 4 children were born: William Elders and Brenda Boyster both of Fredericktown, Missouri, Roy Elders of Lake Port, Florida and Wanda Harding of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The marriage to Clarence was dissolved. Mary was married to Bud Lamkin, who preceded her in death, along with her parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, 1 grandchild, 1 stepdaughter, 1 stepson, and her childrens father.
Surviving Mary are her 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 stepchildren, 1 brother Rev. Cecil Sheppard and 1 sister Nellie Head.
Mary lived most of her life in Fredericktown, where she retired from Madison Memorial Hospital in 1985 due to her health. She was a member of Calvary Temple Church.
