Mary Ann Simmons (Francis) Willis passed away on October 19, 2009 at the age of 87 at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown, MO.
Mary Ann was born on May 14, 1922 to Walter James and Cora Bell Simmons. On April 13th, 1940 she married Elijah Francis who proceeds her in death. She married Denver Paul Willis on August 16, 1967 who proceeds her in death as well. Also proceeding her in death are her father, mother, brother Howard Simmons, sisters Beulah Simmons, Lorene Hale, Rose Lee Cook and daughter in-law Donna Kay Francis.
She is survived by sons, Harold Tom Francis and Ronald G. Francis, Grand-daughters Christy and Husband Devin Amelunke, Michele and husband Terry Hollinsworth, Camela and husband Andrew Goehman, great-grandchildren Jayna Boyer, Dason Boyer, Anna Mae Amelunke, AJ Goehman, and step-great grandchildren Ashley Bales, Christian Hollinsworth, and Aranda Amelunke, nephews Ed Cook and Howie Simmons and nieces Barbara Myers and Tina Burton.
Mary Ann was a member of the Fredericktown VFW Ladies Auxilliary and was a Charter Member of the Fredericktown Eagles Auxilliary. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and was famous for her Coconut Cream Pies. Her proudest moment was her 84th Birthday and riding with her nephew Ed Cook on his Harley Davidson around the Courthouse Square.
Mary Ann was baptized in the Freewill Baptist Faith and was laid to rest on October 22, 2009 at Little Vine Cemetery in Fredericktown, MO.
