Melvin Edwin Mudge was born on September 2, 1927 at Mine La Motte, Missouri the son of Renford and Martina (Trousdale) Mudge and passed away on December 19, 2012 at his residence in Patton, Missouri at the age of 85 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Elmo Mudge and one sister Alvina (Mudge) Hill. Melvin was united in marriage to Dorothy Freeland on October 27, 1946 at Fredericktown. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, three sons Charles (Joan) Mudge of Perryville, Missouri, Gerald (Brenda) Mudge of Jackson,Missouri, and Neal (Susan) Mudge of Troy, Missouri; two sisters Anita (Ray) Bowers of Dittmer, Missouri and Nelda (Melvin) Ballew of Farmington, Missouri. Also ten grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Melvin was a member of the Meadow Heights Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing.
