Merle Georgia Denman was born on October 17, 1918 in Albright, Missouri the daughter of King John Alonza Whitener and Ala Ada (Myers) Whitener, and passed away on January 3, 2012 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 93 years.
She married Harris Schell Denman on January 18, 1943 in Fredericktown, Missouri. He preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were parents; one son Harry Lee Denman; one grandson Shawn Jerry Sikes; one great granddaughter Lexis Rosemary Cole; three sisters Ethel, Ester, and Dorothy; and three brothers Arnold, Clayton, and Glynn.
Survivors include one son Walter Garrett (Angie) Denman of Marquand, MO; three daughters Brenda Ruth Denman of Fredericktown, MO, Vera Sue (Jerry) Sikes of Fredericktown, MO, and Verna June Clubb of Perryville, MO; one daughter-in-law Shirly May Denman; seven grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and one great greatgrandchild.
Merle was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading the bible. She also in enjoyed tending to her roses, visiting with her grandchildren, and completing word search books.
