Michael F. McCarthy was born on February 20, 1949 at St. Louis, Missouri the son of George and Leona McCarthy and passed away on September 17, 2013 at his residence in Fredericktown at the age of 64 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two sons Michael McCarthy of Farmington and Sean McCarthy of Brattleboro, Vermont, one daughter Shannon Dodd of Fredericktown, two brothers Joey McCarthy of St. Louis, Missouri and Jimmy McCarthy of Springfield, Missouri. Also eight grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Michael was a member of the Rhodes Chapel Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. He also served in the United State Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.
