Michael A. McClellan Sr. was born November 11, 1946 at Hicksville, Ohio, the son of Lavon "Buck" McClellan and Mary Sprouse, and passed away at Fredericktown on May 6, 2018 at the age of 71 years.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alta McClellan whom he married on December 19, 1966 at a local farm that wound up becoming their own family farm, one (1) son Matt Mclellan, three (3) sisters Mary Lou Billeaud, Marjorie Reardon, Edith Baylor, and one (1) brother-in-law Bob Baylor.

Mike is survived by one (1) son Michael (Melanie) McClellan Jr., one (1) daughter Michelle (Kevin) Hovis, one (1) brother Lavon "Bud" McClellan Jr., one (1) sister Paula (Don) Gibson, five (5) grandchildren, and six (6) great-grandchildren.

Mike was a member of Silvermines General Baptist Church, and he enjoyed Tennessee walking horses, collecting and selling custom knives, and going to get fruit to bring back from Campbell, Missouri.
