Monica Leah Francis was born on September 25, 1942 at Appleton, Wisconsin the daughter of Ray and Phyllis (Treichel) Schmidt and passed away on May 17, 2025 at Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown at the age of 82 years.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Rachael Wesbecher, great grandson Jonathan Francis, great granddaughter Laiklyn Johnston, and two sisters Clara Ann Boice and Marie Walker.
Monica is survived by her husband Henry Dale Francis Sr. whom she was united in marriage to on August 23, 1991 at Villa Ridge, Missouri; three sons Curtis Wesbecher and wife Rae Dean of Bonne Terre, Missouri, William Wesbecher and partner Fernando Cervates of St. Louis, Missouri, Henry Dale Francis Jr. and wife Rachel of Farmington, Missouri; one daughter Traci Francis and husband Jason Ely of Farmington, Missouri; one brother Tom Schmidt and wife Diane of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister Kathryn Awishus and partner Jim Moore of Waukau, Wisconsin; and one dear sister-in-law Joanne Schmidt of St. Louis, Missouri. Also ten grandchildren Jeramy Wesbecher and wife Sarah, Kristen Dalton and husband Mike, Andrew Buckholz, Amber Love and husband Logan, Kaitlin Rosenau, Jordan Rosenau, Kellsey Francis and partner Mark Card, Kodi Shadowens and husband Dilbert, Jesse Francis and wife Ashley, Marina Price, and husband Tyler; twenty-seven great grandchildren Gabe, Jacob, Grayson, Mackenzie, Taylor, AJ, Raven, Jax, Crewe, Zander, Zandrea, Teagon, Emmet, Aiden, Everleigh, Jordan, Destinee, Kaiden, Maggie, Wesley, Remington, Colt, Wyatt, Amara, Claire, Kora, Riddick, plus one on the way Emeryn; and also several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Monica enjoyed crocheting, taking long car rides with coffee stops, and puzzle books.
