Myrtle A. McClanahand was born May 9, 1924 in Madison County, the daughter of Henry and Dora Parson, and passed away on November 5, 2009 at her home in Fredericktown.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jessie McClanahand whom she married on November 28, 1942 in Madison County, Missouri, two (2) brothers, Bill Parson, Elmer Parson one (1) daughter Junie Baker, and one (1) grandson Trevor Connor.
Myrtle is survived by three (3) sons Terry (Lisa) McClanahand of Perryville, Jerry McClanahand, Jim (Anita) McClanahand of Bismark. Three (3) daughters Mary Connor of Fredericktown, Delores (John) Levy of Ste. Genevieve, Joyce (Bill) Sykes of Benid, Illinois, one (1) sister Mae Tripp of Fredericktown, and twenty three (23) grandchildren.
Myrtle was of the Baptist faith.

Visitation will be held after 5:30 P.M. Friday November 6, 2009 at the Follis & Sons Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday November 7, 2009 at the Follis & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Sheppard officiating.

Interment will be held in Sebastian Cemetery.
