Naomi Mae Hinkle was born on April 26, 1926 at Trace Creek in Madison County the daughter of Elva Lewis and Jewell Evelyn (Clayton) Kelley and passed away on July 7, 2014 at her residence in Marquand at the age of 88 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James (Bud) Hinkle, one brother, three sisters, one son Roger Hinkle, three grandchildren Connie (Hinkle) Williams, Timothy Hinkle, James Hinkle, and one great granddaughter Samantha Reynolds. She is survived by nine children Larry (Barb) Hinkle of Fredericktown, Gale (Janey) Hinkle of Fredericktown, Janet (Elvis) Chamberlain of Farmington, Jerry Hinkle of Bismarck, Donna (David) McCutcheon of Marquand, Sandy (Jim) Starkey of Marquand, Darrell (Bev) Hinkle of Fredericktown, Donald (Nicole) Hinkle of Michigan, and Paula Dyer of Farmington, twenty-three grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one sister Shirley Clinard of Cedar Hill, and many nieces and nephews. Naomi loved spending time with her family and cooking large meals for everyone to enjoy. No one ever left her house with an empty stomach or an empty heart because her love for the Lord she shared with everyone.
