Naomi Blanch Hovis was born on October 24, 1923 at Rock Creek, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Edward and Bessie Angeline (Golden) Tinsley and passed away on January 5, 2016 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 92 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons Gary Hovis, Lloyd "Bud" Hovis, and Charles "Fat" White, three brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her husband Lloyd Hovis whom she was united in marriage to on September 2, 1949 at Piggott, Arkansas, three sons Gerald Eugene White of Fredericktown, Ronnie Dale Hovis of Bonne Terre, and Larry James Hovis of Harrison, Arkansas, three daughters Linda Jean Hartsell of Festus, Glenda Mae Edgar of Bonne Terre, and Sharon Kay Hovis of Fredericktown, sixteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Naomi was a member of the Gospel Mission Church and enjoyed spending time with family, babysitting, gardening, and canning.
