Oscar H. McCormack was born January 23, 2011 at Marquand, the son of James H. & Nancy S. McCormack, and passed away on December 24, 2011 at the Ozark Manor Nursing Home.
Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Daisy whom he married on May 31, 1941 at Marble Hill, Missouri, five (5) brothers Claude, Everett, Clint, Lester, and Bill McCormack.
Oscar is survived by two (2) sons Jerry (Connie) McCormack, Larry (Kimberly) McCormack, three (3) grandchildren, Michele Berhorst, Shannon Canfield, Brad McCormack, five (5) great-grandchildrenAlicia Berhorst, Adam Berhorst, Pete Canfield, Lilly Canfield, and Jack Charles McCormack.
Oscar was a long time member of Union Light Church, he attended all the same church all of his life, and actually met and courted his wife of over 70 years there.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1941-1945 achieving the rank of Cpl.
He and Daisy owned and operated McCormacks store for over 20 years in the union light community, Oscar also worked for U.S. Census Bureau, and later retirerd from U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Oscar enjoyed farming/gardening, Ford tractors, old Volkswagons, and most of all, spending time, and going places with his wife Daisy.
VISITATION: after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday December 27, 2011 at the Follis & Sons Funeral Home.
SERVICE: 11:00 A.M. at the Union Light Church with Rev. Bill Ross, and Rev. Donald Sander officiating.
INTERMENT: Union Light Cemetery
