Paul R. Hazelwood was born on March 18, 1931 at Elco, Illinois, the son of Samuel and Audrey (Jordan) Hazelwood and passed away on August 4, 2012 at the Camelot Nursing Home in Farmington, Missouri at the age of 81 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Paul was united in marriage to Violet Irvin on April 16, 1949 at Granite City, Illinois. He is survived by his wife Violet, One (1) daughter Joni Herron of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Three (3) sisters Dimple Zeiger of Dallas, Texas, Charlotte Miller and Carlene Givens both of Granite City, Illinois. Paul was a member of the Fredericktown United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and teaching Sunday School. He also served his country as U.S. Marine in the Korean War.
