Paul N. Shaffer was born on May 1, 1921 at Saco, Missouri the son of Willie E. and Lucy E. (Barrett) Shaffer and passed away on December 10, 2015 at Greenville Nursing and Rehab in Greenville, Missouri at the age of 94 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Bill Shaffer, one sister Wilma Parson, one son Jim Shaffer, and a great grandson James Jeremy Shaffer. He is survived by his wife Alverna (Berry) Shaffer whom he was united in marriage to on April 4, 1942 at Fredericktown, one son Norman Shaffer of Henderson, Texas, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. Paul served in the United States Air Force and was member of the Oak Dale Baptist Church. He enjoyed farming, horses and mules, reading his Bible, and picking up rocks.
