Phillip Wayne Bennett, a cherished founder and owner of Bennett Heating and Cooling, passed away on April 26, 2026, in Park Hills, Missouri. Born on March 23, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri, Phillip’s life was marked by a deep commitment to his work, his family, and his community.
Phillip was a man who found joy in both his profession and his personal connections. He took great pride in building his business and nurturing strong people relations. Known for his warm nature, he was a big hugger and genuinely enjoyed the camaraderie and friendships he fostered throughout his life.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Phillip had a rich array of hobbies that reflected his love of the outdoors and adventure. He delighted in fishing, cooking, hunting, motorcycle riding, boating, and horseback riding—activities that not only enriched his own life but also brought joy to those around him.
Phillip’s legacy is carried forward by his loving family and friends who remember him fondly. He is survived by his daughter Niki Hogue and her spouse Jeremy Hogue; his daughter Julie Spain and her spouse Shannon Spain; his son Andrew Hamlett and his spouse Kate Hamlett; and his son Levi Chambers. He is also remembered by his siblings: Tracey Bennett, Rachel Bennett (sister-in-law), Toni Bennett, Veronica Bennett, David Bennett, and Amy Bennett (sister-in-law). Phillip’s grandchildren, Zander Hogue, Sophia Spain, Grayson Spain, Weston Spain, Jane Hamlett, and Kennedy Hamlett, will carry his spirit into the future.
Phillip was preceded in death by his father, George Bennett; mother, Peggy (Bullock) Bennett; sister, Sandra Kamer; sister, Lockie Morgan; brother, Charles L. Bennett; and son, Michael W. Bennett.
A memorial gathering will be held at Follis & Sons Chapel, 700 Plaza Dr., Fredericktown, Missouri, on May 16, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed immediately by a memorial service from 11:30 a.m. These events will provide an opportunity for all who knew Phillip to honor his memory, celebrate his life, and share their memories of a man who truly lived with warmth and integrity.
Phillip Wayne Bennett’s life was one of meaningful accomplishment, heartfelt relationships, and vibrant passions. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, kindness, and a love for life that will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
