Randal Ozro Brewington, a devoted son, dedicated public servant, and cherished family member, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, in Bunker, Missouri. Born on October 11, 1955, in Madison County, Missouri, Randal’s life was marked by a unique blend of service, joy, and ingenuity.
A proud veteran, Randal held his military service in great esteem, reflecting a commitment to duty and country that was evident throughout his life. His career path included serving as a police officer in Bunker, Missouri, where he was deeply respected for his dedication and integrity. Later, he applied his skills with Townsend Tree Service, demonstrating his steadfast work ethic across different fields.
Randal was a man of simple pleasures and a happy-go-lucky spirit. Known for his constant joking and hearty laughter, he brought light to every room he entered. He was also known for his love of tinkering, often discovering hidden treasures discarded by others, and using his creativity to make turkey calls or reload shells. Enthusiastically engaged in hunting and fishing, he cherished the outdoors and the camaraderie it brought.
His educational journey comprised twelve years of schooling, which helped shape his practical knowledge and outlook on life. Always a loyal son, Randal was particularly close to his mother, Janice Brewington, who survives him along with his daughters, Shawna Brewington and Sara Black. He is also mourned by his siblings: Roger Brewington and Nancy Anthony, Bruce Brewington and his wife Barb Brewington, and Sheila Brewen along with her husband Jerry Brewen. The family circle is a testament to the bonds he lovingly maintained throughout his life.
Randal’s father, Ozro Brewington, preceded him in death, leaving behind a legacy that Randal honored continually.
Those who knew Randal fondly remember the small joys that brightened his days, including his favorite lunches of Mountain Dew, root beer cream soda, and peanut butter crackers. These little details speak to the warmth and character that defined him.
Visitation will be held on May 16, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Follis & Sons Chapel, located at 700 Plaza Drive, Fredericktown, Missouri. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the same location, where family, friends, and community members are invited to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a man who gave so much with a joyful heart.
Randal Ozro Brewington’s memory lives on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love he so freely gave. He will be deeply missed but forever treasured by all whose lives he touched.
