Raymond Eugene Ammon, 77, of Fredericktown passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, He was born March 26, 1937 in Madison County, the son of Fred and Rosie (Francis) Ammon.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, a son Kevin Ammon, and a great granddaughter, Kali Ammon.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma (Umfleet) Ammon, daughter, Brenda (Steve) Ferguson of Fredericktown, a sister, Margerite Lawrence of San Jose, California. Grandchildren Casey (Keith) Burch of Farmington, Nathan (Katie) Ammon of Cape Girardeau, Rikki Ammon of Cape Girardeau, and Jordan Ray Ammon of Daytona Beach, Florida. Great grandchildren, Ty and Brody Burch, Tatum Ammon, and unborn Nora Ammon. He leaves behind a brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Ethel Umfleet of Fredericktown, several nieces, nephews, and their spouses. Lifelong friend, Louie Jaycox.
Ray worked for Berry's Service Station for many years. He retired from the City of Fredericktown Waste Water Plant.
He enjoyed watching Cardinal Baseball games, doing yard work and spending time with his grandkids.
