Robert Allen Smith was born on December 16, 1958 at Breese, Illinois the son of Robert D. (Shirley) Smith and Carol Smith and passed away on September 30, 2014 at his residence in Fredericktown at the age of 55 years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Louis Francis and Mildred Virginia Hempen and Earl and Lora Mae Cobble and sister-in-law Patricia Cain. He is survived by his wife Pamela Jean Smith whom he was united in marriage to on October 27, 1979 at Fredericktown, one son Joey (LaThicia) Ward of Fredericktown, two daughters Jennifer A. Keese (Chad) of Arcadia, Missouri and Jamie C. Smith-Snyder (Ryan) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, three brothers Michael (Glenda) Smith of Fredericktown, Dennis Smith of Union City, Indiana, and Dwyane (Marie) Smith of Roanoke, Virginia, and twelve grandchildren. Robert retired from the United States Army with rank of Sergeant First Class and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids, fishing, woodworking, and being outdoors.
