Roy F. Roberts was born August 5, 1918 the son of Roy F. and Emma (Pickert) Roberts Sr. at Fredericktown, Missouri and passed away on September 23, 2009at Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown at the age of 91 years.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Three (3) sisters Mary Jane Shetley, Betty Lee McFarland and Louise Wykoff.
Roy married Frankye Oberle in March 1939 at Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, she also preceded Roy in death.
Roy is survived by Two (2) sons Michael Roberts of Columbia, Missouri and Dr. Kevin Roberts of Fredericktown. three nephews Tom Wykoff of Sydney, Australia, Doug McFarland of Fredericktown & Mike McFarland of Farmington,Missouri. Two nieces Jane Anne Hoylman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Jill Johnson of Fredericktown.
Roy was owner of Roberts Sporting Goods, retired City of Fredericktown Chief of Police, Madison County Commissioner, Deputy Sheriff. Roy was a World War II Verteran with Army Air Force
He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church.
