Ruby Mae Menteer's Obituary
Ruby Mae Menteer was born February 5, 1927 at Zalma, Missouri, the daughter of Jake and Mertel Abernathy, and passed away at her home in Fredericktown on March 5, 2011 at the age of 84 years.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, one (1) son Dennis P. Menteer, one (1) daughter Theresa M. Menteer, three (3) brothers Patrick Abernathy, Jake Abernathy, and Gerald Abernathy.
Ruby is survived by her husband Robert P. Menteer, whom she married on December 3, 1949 at St. Louis, two (2) sons Robert D. Menteer, of Glen Allen, Gary J. Menteer, of Fredericktown, one (1) sister Mary Helgenberg, of St. Clair, five (5) grandchildren, and nine (9) great-grandchildren.
Ruby enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, dancing, music, and singing.
VISITATION: 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday March 9, 2011 at the Follis & Sons Funeral Home.
CHAPEL SERVICE: 10:00 A.M. Thursday March 10, 2011 at the Follis & Sons Funeral Home, with Fr. Michell Wilk officiating.
INTERMENT: St. Michaels Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS: Bob Menteer, Gary Menteer, Chris Menteer, Harley Menteer, Mike Miller, Richard Menteer.
