Ruby Settle was born July 24, 1917 the daughter of William M. and Margaret C. (Huffman) Henson at Buckhorn, Missouri and passed away on January 4, 2011 at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown, Missouri at the age of 93 years.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd "Pete" Settle whom she married on April 10, 1937 at Marquand, Missouri, son Cletus Settle, grandchildren Tamara Settle, Mallory Jo Hicks, & Jake Davidson, brother Raymond Henson, sisters Gladys Doty, Leatha Berry, Stella Settle & Frieda Henson.
Ruby is survived by Six (6) sons Lilbourn Settle, Larry Settle, Keith Settle all of Fredericktown, Gary Settle of Arnold, Mo., Dale Settle of Warner Robins, GA., Terry Settle of Lake Jackson, TX. Two (2) daughters Sandra Hicks of Fredericktown & Theresa Barnett of St. Louis, Mo. Two (2) sisters Jewell Parson (twin sister) of Marquand, Mo. & Beulah Settle of Fredericktown, Mo. Fifteen (15) grandchildren, Twenty –Three (23) great grandchildren & Two (2)great-great grandchildren.
Ruby was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Fredericktown, Mo. She enjoyed piecing quilts and embroidery.
