Shirley Ann Smith was born on September 15, 1945 at Bay City, Michigan the daughter Walden J. Robinson and Eva Louis Bartreau and passed away on June 14, 2016 at Mercy Jefferson in Festus at the age of 70 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, her step-mother Nina Robinson, her husband Robert D. Smith whom she was united in marriage to on August 30, 1996 at Metropolis, Illinois, and step-son Robert Smith. She is survived by her father Walden J. Robinson, son Jerry Ryan (Lori) Gerler of Pasadena, Maryland, two daughters Lisa Hogner-Smith of Fredericktown and Jackie (Miguel) Perez of St. Louis, Missouri, three step-sons Mike (Glenda) Smith of Marquand, Missouri, Dennis Smith of Union City, Indiana, and Dwayne (Marie) Smith of Roanoke, Virginia, one brother Butch (Debbie) Robinson of St. Louis, Missouri, two sisters Marcia (Dan) Goen of Ironton, Missouri and Charlene Bartreau of Michigan, three grandchildren Jay Kline, Jay Gerler, and Haley Gerler, and two great grandchildren Xander Kline and Maddox Kline. Shirley was of the Lutheran Faith and enjoyed gambling, playing cards, spending time with Bob and her family.
