Stella Mae Rehkop was born June 7, 1929 the daughter of John K. and Rose Ella (Hogue) Phillips and passed away on January 3, 2009 in Fredericktown at the age of 79 years. Stella was preceded in death by her parents, one (1) daughter Patricia Darlene Ball, one (1) son Stephen D. Rehkop, two (2) sisters Anna Emmett, Dorothy Johnson, and three (3) brothers Herbert Phillips, Clifford Phillips, and James R. Phillips. Stella is survived by four (4) sons George David (Brenda) Rehkop of O'Fallon, Missouri and Timothy Allen Rehkop, Warren Arthur Rehkop, Herbert Randall (Teresa) Rehkop all of Fredericktown. Six (6) daughters Shirley (Larry) Boland, Wilma (Steve) Tinsley, Marcella Asher, Beverly (Dwayne) Tilk, Cynthia (Charles) Pulliam, and Christina (Ronald) Cooper all of Fredericktown. One (1) brother Gary E. Phillips of Festus, and four (4) sisters Virginia Shelton of Cottage Hills, Illinois Lela Savage of Festus, Mary Lunsford of St. Charles, and Barb Hennen of Fredericktown. Stella is also survived by twenty three (23) grandchildren and twenty two (22) great-grandchildren. Stella was of the Free Will Baptist Faith and enjoyed her children and grandchildren, she was an avid reader, loved to sew, listen to gospel music, and was even an amateur poet. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 7 after 5:00 P.M. at the Follis & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday January 8, at 1:00 P.M. at the Follis & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Roever and Rev. Steve Tinsley officiating. Interment will be held in Marcus Memorial Park
