Stevie Wayne
Turnbeaugh
December 17, 1952 – January 28, 2024
Stevie Wayne Turnbeaugh went home to Jesus on January 28,2024 at the age of 71 surrounded in love by his wife and sons.
Steve was born to Willis and Mae Turnbeaugh on December 17,1952 in Ironton, Mo. He was raised in rural Fredericktown MO and regardless of where he lived always referred to Fredericktown as home.
Steve met his wife Joyce Rehkop at a trail ride in 1992. From their first date at the Lions Club Rodeo in June 1992 they were inseparable for 31 years. They went on to have one son Augustus Cade Rehkop Turnbeaugh and were blessed to help raise a bonus son, Eli Zane Marcus.
Steve also had a son from a previous marriage and he is Shane Turnbeaugh.
Steve is survived by his wife and sons, nephew Joey Pruett & wife Joy, great nephew TJ Pruett & wife Tara and great niece Jessica Matlock & children and his best dog Willy.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and only sibling, JoAnn Turnbeaugh.
Steve was an oil, gas and water well driller by trade but was a cowboy at heart. He and his wife Joyce, both being avid horse and cattlemen, founded Cadillac Ranch-Cascade MO., where they raised cattle and registered paint and quarter horses. They were blessed in their retirement years to have many adventures traveling, trail riding and camping throughout the United States with their horses, best dog "Willy" and friends. Steve never met a stranger, made an impact on all and was always willing to help out a friend.
Steve believed in God, family and country and was most proud of his service in the United States Marine Corp - Semper Fi - Always Faithful.
A celebration of Steve's life is scheduled for 1:00 pm on January 31, 2024 at Cadillac Ranch with Cowboy Preacher Sam Zook officiating. Steve will be buried on the farm under his favorite oak tree with his best horse Scarface and one day his dog Willy.
Arrangements were assisted by Follis & Sons Funeral Home and many family and friends. In Lieu of flowers buy a friend lunch or a beer or pay it forward to someone in need in memory of Steve.
