Thomas Jurl Hamlin was born October 6, 1948 at Sturdivant (Bollinger County), Missouri the son of Paul & Mary (Moore) Hamlin and passed away on April 18, 2016 at Fredericktown at the age of 67 years.
Tom grew up in Advance, Missouri, he joined the U.S. Army at the age of 18 years and served his country honorably.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brother Terry Hamlin, sisters Alene Fish, Brenda Pickett, Linda Hale, infant sister Patsy Hamlin, Mother & Father –in-law Leonard & Dorothy Edmond, brothers-in-law Tony Anderson, Steve King & infant Leonard Edmond Jr.
Tom married Patty Edmond Hamlin on May 8, 1981 at Fredericktown. He is survived by his wife Patty, children James (Mary Ann) Hamlin, Peggy Watson & Casie Francis. Grandchildren Joslyn Schott, Ethan Watson, Paden Francis, Candace Hamlin, Brody Forester & Jameson Hamlin. Brothers Jimmy (Bertha Lee) Hamlin, Bill (Gloria) Hamlin, Mikel (Carol) Hamlin & Jerry (Pat) Hamlin. Sister Pam (Alan) Brenker. Sister-in-laws Renita Anderson, Kathy King & Sheila (Roger) Wibbenmeyer.
Tom worked as a supervisor for Brown Shoe Co. for over 29 years, until he retired in 2009. His interests and hobbies included upholstery and his love of gardening. He also loved taking his beloved dog Diamond for walks. Tom loved his grand kids dearly.
Tom was of the Christian Faith, and a very active member of the Fredericktown Eagles Lodge F.O.E. # 3758
