Tyler Greg Gifford (Roy), age 40, of Fredericktown, MO passed away from this life, Saturday, August 15, 2026 at his home.

Born in Farmington, MO, Tyler was the cherished son of Ronnie and Beverly (Paulk) Gifford.

Tyler was preceded in death by his grandfather Lloyd Paulk, great-grandmother Annie Bowers, and his childhood friend Robbie Shelly.

Survivors include his parents, Ronnie and Beverly, Grandmother Patsy “Maw Maw” Paulk, aunts and uncles, Eddie and Steffy Paulk, Ralph and Vi Gifford, Aleda Williams and Carol Jean Roberts, cousins Lauren, Emily, Ginger, Brooke, Kelsey, Gilbert and Anita.

Tyler was full of life from the very beginning and loved the outdoors. He graduated from Fredericktown High School in 2004. He acquired the name “Kilroy” while in high school. It was later shortened to “Roy”. He worked for the Laborers and Operators union hall out of Cape Girardeau, MO. Tyler was a proud union worker.

His greatest joy was hunting and fishing. He was in the water every chance he could get. He started fishing at an early age with his dad. They had many fishing trips and camping adventures.

You were our pride and joy. We are blessed to have had you in our lives for 40 years and for that we are grateful. We loved you more than life itself and we will carry you in our hearts forever. We will miss your sweet smile, warm hugs and “Love Ya’s”.

We did not realize what a huge following of friends he had. It brings us comfort to know that he was loved by so many people and touched so many lives. His friend Josh said, “we are only judged by our character, and he was of the utmost order. Honest, blunt, caring and loved you guys above all else”.

May his spirit rest where the woods are quiet, the water is calm, and the hunt never ends.
