Van Steven "Butch" Gunter, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at his home in Fredericktown, Missouri, and was preceded in death by his first wife Darlene (Weston) Gunter, his parents Van E. Gunter, Geneva K. Gunter, his siblings Kathy L. Stover, Vickie L. Clements, nephews Artie Gunter, Jeffery L. Robertson and two half brothers Evertt Gunter and Michael Eschman and brother Morris D. Gunter.

He is survived by his wife Rhonda (Tinsley) Gunter, two step daughters Amanda Ferruzzi and Katy Lawler and a special brother-in-law Brad Tinsley, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his children Kimberly S.  Henry, Van Steve Gunter, Jr.  and his grandson Alex Gunter, and also his siblings, Linda M. Lawson, Anita R. Gunter, Vanessa R. Edmond, Terrance E. Gunter, and many nephews and nieces.

Butch loved fishing on the Mississippi River, hunting, and spending quality time with friends and family.
