Vera L. Stephens Holmes was born on August 5, 1938 at Marshall, Missouri the daughter of Carl J. and Virginia Lee (Marks) Bray and passed away on May 3, 2016 at Fredericktown at the age of 77 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Everett Holmes, Joseph L. Stephens, and sons Donnie Stephens and Mike Stephens. She is survived by three sons Carl Richard Brummer of Fredericktown, Larry Eugene Stephens of Harrisonville, Missouri, and Scott Stephens of Fredericktown, two daughters Virginia Rice of Fredericktown and Melissa Stokes of Park Hills, Missouri, one sister Alice Wolberd of Farmington, twenty grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Vera enjoyed fishing , quilting, crocheting, camping, horseback riding, and watching soap operas.
