Vernon Mark Bentinganan was born November 27, 1972 to Dr. Victor and Emelita (DeQuit) Bentinganan at Chicago, IL and passed away on June 25, 2026 at the age of 53.

Vernon is preceded in death by his father.

Vernon is survived by his mother, one (1) son Brandon Lee Bentinganan, four (4) brothers Victor D (Jill) Bentinganan, Jr., Vincent (Amy) Bentinganan, Vimille (Rowena) Bentinganan, Vaughn Bentinganan, two (2) sisters Vanessa Barker and Vernette Smith.

Vernon was of the Catholic faith.

 Vernon enjoyed sports. He loved watching St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, University of Notre Dame Football and the St. Louis Blues Hockey.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his son and working with children.  He was a member of the St. Louis City Police force for 10 years.
