Virginia Faye (Jennie) Cooper was born on June 20, 1937, at Millcreek, Missouri, the daughter of John L. and Christina (Winch) Parson, and passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 88 years.
Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Freeman Cooper, who she married on July 17, 1955, at the Church of God Faith of Abraham in Fredericktown, five (5) brothers, Roscoe, Otto, Grover, David, Howard, and one (1) sister, Helen.
Jennie is survived by one (1) daughter, Judi (George) Obey, two (2) grandchildren, Steven Cooper, Norman Obey, seven (7) great-grandchildren, Braydon Cooper, Jesse Cooper, Makayla Cooper, Christian Cooper, Breauna Mills, Locust Mills, Nova Obey, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jennie and her husband Freeman owned and operated the Motor Corral service station and restaurant, and later built and operated the Corral Motel for a number of years.
She also worked numerous years and retired from the Madison County Clerk's office, and in her spare time she enjoyed gardening and decorating.
