Walter C. Hovis of Florissant, Missouri passed away on December 24, 2013 at his home at the age of 80 years. He was born on August 5, 1933 at Mine La Motte, Missouri the son of James and Madge (Tawfall) Hovis. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Milton and James Hovis. He was united in marriage to Betty J. Henson on August 10, 1956 at Fredericktown, Missouri. He is survived by his wife Betty of the home, three sons Perry (Janice) Hovis, Tim Hovis, and Danny (Kathy) Hovis, one daughter Lisa Jacoby, one brother Lloyd (Naomi) Hovis, one sister Evelyn (Glenn) Rehkop, two grandchildren Angie (Jeff) Endicott and Nick (Lindsay) Hovis, and two great grandchildren Kayla and Alec Endicott. Walter was a member of the Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in Bridgeton, Missouri and enjoyed fishing and westerns.
