Walter Burton Tucker's Obituary
Walter Burton "Bert" Tucker was born March 15, 1915 in Old Greenville, Mo., the son of Elias Marion and Lou Alma (Carpenter) Tucker and passed away on January 5, 2009 at ClaRu DeVille Nursing Center in Fredericktown at the age of 93 years.
Bert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Reva Louis (Fisk) Tucker, son Raymond Tucker, son-in-law Michael Counsell, grandson Quint Starkey, one great grandson Bradley Durham, four (4) brothers and four (4) sisters.
Bert is survived by Three (3) sons Charles (Rosalie) Tucker , Bethalto, IL., Ernest "Peanut" (Edna) Tucker of Marquand, Mo., Robert "Rocky" Tucker of Granite City, IL. Four (4) daughters Betty (Sherman) Starkey of Sedgewickvile, Mo., Sharon (Jerry) Wolfe of Granite City, IL., Ethel (Benjamin) Tate of Louisiana, and Sue Counsell of Granite City, IL. Twenty Seven (27) grandchildren, One (1) step-grandchild, Sixty Five (65) great grandchildren, Six (6) step-great grandchildren and Seven (7) great great grandchildren.
Visitation: 5:00 P.M. Friday, January 9, 2009 Follis & Sons Funeral Home.
Services: 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 10, 2009 Follis & Sons Chapel.
Interment Marcus Memorial Park Fredericktown, Mo.
Officiating: Pastor Gene Proffer & Pastor Tommy Fults.
