Willard Edward "Woody" Stevens was born March 18, 1928 at Saco, Missouri the son of Hugh Auther and Vina Velma (Shaffer) Stevens and passed away at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown on December 10, 2014 at the age of 86 years.
Woody was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter-in-law Stephanie Stevens, a granddaughter Amanda Stevens, a brother Oscar Stevens, Two (2) sisters Bertha Tinsley Holland & Ruth Jordan.
Woody is survived by his wife of 56 years Leota (Berry) Stevens whom he married on March 1, 1958 upon returning from the Korean War where he served from 1954 to 1956. Woody is also survived by his children Mrs Patty (Joe-Cedar) Finch, Bob Stevens, Keith Stevens, Dale Stevens, Denny Stevens, all of Fredericktown, Kenneth (Dana) Stevens of Pocahontas, Illinois, one brother Arley (Helen) Stevens of Fredericktown, Sixteen (16) grandchildren and Eighteen (18) great grandchildren.
When Woody returned to Missouri he spent the next 40 plus years being an over the road truck driver, retiring in 1990. In retirement he enjoyed making crafts & giving them away. He also enjoyed spending time with family & friends.
Woody was always a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed dearly.
