William Joseph Whitener was born on November 25, 1942, at Fredericktown, the son of Joseph L. and Mary (Sitzes) Whitener, and passed away on November 15, 2025, at the age of 82 years.

William was preceded in death by his parents.

William is survived by his wife, Katherine (Kaiser) Whitener, who he married on March 10, 1965, at Fredericktown, one (1) brother, Bruce (Barbara) Whitener, one (1) niece, Sarah, one (1) nephew, Brian, and four (4) great-nieces and nephews.

William was a United States Air Force Veteran, he spent 25 plus years with the Fredericktown Fire Department, was a member of the National Rifle Association for many years, loved camping and pulled a camper over 38,000 miles, and enjoyed biking and hiking.
