The daughter of Adolph Meyer and Dorothy (Davis) Burgett was born on August 22, 1934 in St. Louis, MO. Wilma married the love of her life, Walter (Bud) on February 27, 1954, and they were happily married for 49 years until the time of his passing.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter (Bud) Hoelscher, brothers Bob Meyer and Jimmy Burgett, sisters-in-law Alice Hoelscher and Lorraine Schwenger, and brother-in-law Wayne Hoelscher.
Wilma is survived by her sisters Mary Burgette, Betty (Tom) Heintz, Joann (Randy) Ray, Joette Payne, and her brothers Lee (Ellen) Meyer and Joe (Cindy) Burgett.
Wilma will be missed dearly by her seven children, Linda (late husband Jim) Luehrs, Gordon (Barb) Hoelscher, Greg (Jayne) Hoelscher, Laura (Ron) Evans, Kevin (Serena) Hoelscher, Karen (John) Corp, and Patty (Oliver) Tobias.
She was beloved Grandmother to 12, Great-Grandmother to 13, Great-Great Grandmother to 2, and dear cousin, aunt, and friend to many.
As a woman of faith, Wilma spent her life serving the Lord as an active member of the church and caring for her family. When her children were young, she enjoyed volunteering as room mother and girl scout troop leader, along with the many other ways she nurtured and shaped the lives of her family. Throughout her life, she enjoyed a variety of hobbies including bowling, bingo, word puzzles, painting/drawing, slot machines/scratch offs, crafts, music (Elvis), and always having a good time.
Wilma was a beautiful soul and the matriarch of her family. Her memories and legacy will live on forever.
Wilma touched so many lives and spread her love through her presence, warm hugs, and witty sense of humor; she will be dearly missed.
