Wilma Ruth (Acuff) Mooney was born January 5, 1919 in Greene County, Missouri the daughter of James Pete and Goldie (Dixon) Acuff and passed away on June 1, 2019 at the Farmington at the age of 100 years.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Seven (7) sisters and three (3) brothers.

She was married 51 years to Carlton A. Mooney who died in 1992.

Ruth taught school for 38 years in the Fredericktown Elementary School. She was a life member of both Missouri State Teachers Association (MSTA) and retired Teachers of Missouri. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She was also active in the Senior center having served on the board for many years. Her special interests were traveling, sewing and reading.

Surviving are Two (2) daughters Sandra Browder of Glendale, Missouri and Toni Mooney of Prescott, Arizona, Two (2) grandchildren, five (5) great grandchildren and three (3) great great grandchildren.
