Zelta Mae Rouse was born June 10, 1918 in Holly Grove, Arkansas the daughter of John Henry and Alice (Bollinger) Matthews and passed away on March 19, 2017 at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown at the age of 98 years 9 months and 9 days.
She was united in marriage to Robert A. Rouse on June 5, 1937 in Ironton, Missouri.
She is survived by Five (5) daughters Elsie (Harold) Cooper of Potosi, Mo., Gladys (Richard) Lewis of Locust Grove, Arkansas, Gloria (Lindell) Sikes of Fredericktown, Mo., Alice Ingram of Kingston, TN., Nancy (Tex) Hale of Fredericktown, Mo., and One (1) son Robert H. (Missy) Rouse of Fredericktown, Mo. Two (2) sisters Fay Umfleet of Fredericktown, Mo. & Alma smith of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Two (2) brothers William Dennison Matthews of South Carolina & Clarence Matthews of Fredericktown, Mo.
She has 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, One (1) daughter Patricia Fay (Harper) Allender, Three (3) brothers A.J. Matthews, John Matthews Jr. and Harold Matthews.
Zelda was a member of the Blush Church Faith of Abraham.
